【排隊英文】排隊英文怎麼說?五大情境輕鬆學,排隊不再煩惱,被插隊也能勇敢表達!

 

排隊是一種基本禮貌(common courtesy),我們從小就學習不能插隊。令小編印象最深的最長隊伍就是小時候去美國加州迪士尼樂園,排一個太空山雲霄飛車(space mountain)就要排兩個小時,一整天下來就玩了3-4 項遊樂設施。真的是大排長龍啊!今天我們來學習跟『排隊』相關的英文用語囉!

 

  1. 排隊的隊伍,美式英語用 line;英式英語用 queue,可以作名詞或動詞:

作動詞

  • line up = queue up

The students were asked to line up before entering the classroom.

學生們被要求在進入教室之前排隊。

 

作名詞

  • wait in line / queue
  • stand in line / queue

We had to wait in line for two hours to get concert tickets.

我們不得不排隊兩個小時來買演唱會門票。

 

  • form a line / queue

Please form a line behind the counter to place your order.

請在櫃檯後面排隊點餐。

 

  1. 插隊英文有以下幾種說法:
  • cut in line

Please don’t cut in line; we’re all waiting patiently.

請不要插隊,我們都在耐心等待。

 

  • jump the queue

The person tried to jump the queue, but others reminded them to wait their turn.

那個人試圖插隊,但其他人提醒他要等輪到他。

 

  • skip the line

It’s unfair when people skip the line and disregard those who have been waiting.

有人插隊並忽視了其他正在等待的人是不公平的。

 

  • butt in line

She decided to butt in line at the last minute, causing some frustration among those waiting.

她在最後一刻決定插隊,引起了等候者的一些不滿。

 

  • break in line

The children broke in line to join their friends ahead.

孩子們插隊加入了前面的朋友。

 

  1. 在隊伍前面,英文可以說:
  • in the front of the line
  • in the head of the line
  • in the front of the queue
  • in the head of the queue

 

  1. 在隊伍後面,英文可以說:
  • in the back of the line
  • in the end of the line
  • in the back of the queue
  • in the end of the queue

 

  1. 其他和排隊相關的用法:
  • a single file line 單列隊伍
  • a double file line 雙列隊伍
  • wait your turn 等待輪到你
  • join the line 加入隊伍
  • hold your place in line 保持你在隊伍中的位置
  • move up in line 在隊伍中向前移動
  • queue etiquette 排隊禮儀
  • take a number 取號排隊
  • next in line   下一個

 

 

Alice:

Look at that line! It’s so long.

你看那條隊伍!好長啊。

 

Bob:

Yeah, it seems like everyone wants to try this new ice cream shop. We should join the queue.

是啊,看起來大家都想試試這家新開的霜淇淋店。我們應該去排隊。

 

Alice:

I guess so. I hope it moves quickly. I’m in no mood to wait for hours.

我猜也是。希望隊伍能快點動。我真的沒心情等好幾個小時。

 

Bob:

Me neither, but I’ve heard it’s worth the wait. Have you ever had their ice cream?

我也是,但我聽說這霜淇淋值得等。你以前吃過他們的霜淇淋嗎?

 

Alice:

No, this will be my first time. What about you?

沒有,這是我第一次來。你呢?

 

Bob:

Same here. I’ve just heard good things from friends.

Alice:

Do you think anyone will cut in line?

你覺得會有人插隊嗎?

 

Bob:

I hope not. It’s so frustrating when people jump the queue.

Alice:

Agreed. It’s important to respect the queue etiquette.

同意。尊重排隊禮儀很重要。

 

Bob:

Alice:
